This is our little family of three. Sam + Diana + Abel Ezra.
We take hundreds of photographs of people every week almost. Always trying to show people’s best side or best pose, laughter, you name it. And whenever we share the images with our couples, I always wonder what’s in their heads whilst they go through them. Probably things like “This is not my best side” or ” Do I have such a big nose? ” Definitely don’t like this photo” or maybe… ” What a nice smile we have” “I Iove it when you hold me like that” and ” I really like this photograph of us”.
No matter the case, I want to tell you that we believe you are so beautiful and unique. There truly is no good or bad side. Your nose is absolutely perfect and someone out there fell in love with every single bit of you- yes, the nose included, so learn to love yourself a bit more.
Give yourself some grace. You deserve it.
More and more I realise that the best photographs aren’t necessarily the ones on the top of the mountains or somewhere in the deep forest. Although we’re in love with all this beautiful nature around us, what’s most important in a photograph is you. You and your husband-to-be. Your mum and dad holding hands. You smiling like nothing else mattered.
This is an incredibly dear photo to us. It represents six years of so many highs and a quite few lows, of learning to be the best team, friends, business partners, husband and wife and now parents.
This is a day when Abel was feeling really drowsy after his vaccines but his expression is priceless.
We were desperate to document this moment, as in a few months, he will have a surgery which would change the way he looks. Not that it matters to us, but only because it will help him growing up to say “Mamma” and “Daddy” without any problems. Abel is the happiest boy you will meet and he loves chewing on our fingers. And he is absolutely perfect in our eyes.
If you still think you have a bad side or your nose isn’t perfect, maybe you should think that someone there would give anything to be in your shoes. Or that someone loves you just the way you are. Like we adore Abel.
We will be forever grateful to Maria Hedengren Photography for capturing this moment in time. We love every single photograph! We’ll never get to live this moment again and I don’t want to ever forget it. Abel needs to know he is perfectly loved and safe in our arms.
My prayer is that our images make you feel something.
I hope you get to treasure them and see behind a “perfect” pose. You will never get to live that moment again.
