Sopley Mill Wedding | Dorset Wedding Photographer
Sopley Mill is one of those hidden gems of venues we were lucky enough to see in the Dorset countryside with gardens overlooking the incredible Avon water meadows. The original Sopley Mill was built in 1066! Talk about places with history, right? Of course that it has been renovated and rebuilt countless times since then, but it was always built as a mill and it is now in the same family since the 1800s. It is not everyday you get to shoot a wedding in a mill that has a river literally underneath and so much history written on those walls!
We were also spoilt with one of the most breathtaking Sunsets we have ever witnessed at a wedding! We could not be happier when the couple came out for a few more Sunset portraits! It was like the sky was on fire and so was their love! (without sounding cheesy at all)
We actually met Katie and Andrew a while back, as we shot their Richmond Park engagement session this past Winter. They’re one of those (annoyingly) lucky couples who get to call Singapore home for now and travel to places like Bali, Vietnam, New Zealand whenever they fancy. But they both come from England, so this was the perfect location for their Dorset wedding and it was such a treat to shoot this fun wedding!
Katie looked absolutely stunning in her Stephanie Allin wedding dress while Andrew rocked his Elizabeth Gregory Couture suit custom made in Singapore, of course!
They are one of the nicest couples you could meet and ridiculously good looking! Such an honour to have been their Sopley Mill wedding photographers!
