New Forest National Park | New Forest Wedding Photographer
When we were asked to shoot a wedding literally in New Forest, we were pretty excited. Of course we didn’t quite know what to expect, like every time we travel to a new place. When we arrived in Lymington, with the forest on one side and the sea on the other, we started to get an idea that this would be a pretty memorable wedding.
The ceremony was held under the shade of a very old tree, with ten colourful bridesmaids on one side and all their loved ones on the other.
Jess was wearing a fantastic and let’s face it, quite unique wedding dress, custom made for her, after her own design. Their personalities shone throughout the day and our humble role was to document everything happening.
The reception was held on the parent’s domain, in a beautifully decorated tent, which happened to also be on the sea shore, from where you could easily see Isle of Wight not far in the distance. A pretty epic view, I would say, with people just as epic. When your dad is John Illsley from Dire Straits and the groom’s sister is Birdy, you know you’re bound to have an eclectic bunch of guests at the wedding.
At the end of the day, though, it was about Jess and Moses’ love that brought them together, celebrated amongst their close families and friends, with a bonfire on the sea shore, as you should.
We’re truly grateful to have been part of this day and most certainly a wedding we’ll always remember.
