Garden Wedding With a Glam Twist For a Midusummer Black Wedding Dress Affair | Devon Wedding Photographer
How can we even start to describe such an epic garden wedding ?!
The morning started with the bride getting ready at the Groucho Club in Soho, a private members club, with members mostly drawn from the Arts industry. Hattie is a professional make up artist and her parents once owned a Film studios and Production Company. Yes, they are that cool! So, from pink and yellow super high heels, to swords brought in from Marrakech the week before, it was just an exciting and quite an emotional day for the bride to be. As strong and full of life Hattie is, she could not stop sobbing when they said their ‘I do’s’ in front of the Civil servant. The day became even more exciting when Mr. and Mrs. came out of the building, where so many of their good friends expected to greet and cheer them.
Soon after that, we all left for the Chelsea Arts Club, another private members club in London, strictly for artists. Being a wedding photographer allows you to get into places you probably never heard of before and it opens doors to different aspects of their colourful worlds. All we do is… enjoy the ride and tell the marvellous stories we see. It’s almost magical, each time!
A week later, everyone packed their toothbrush, sleeping bags, evening dresses and with the utmost anticipation, travelled to Devon, South West of England. Here, Hattie’s parents had prepared the perfect dream-like garden wedding location for the cheerful crowd of friends. Of course, Hattie could not rock anything better than a black wedding dress which suited her so well. There were: actors, producers, singers, photographers… and dogs. So many adorable four legged creatures, that every garden wedding should have, in my opinion.
The party felt like The Oscars events but this time we were part of it- everything was glamorous with fireworks. The whole menu! Just fabulous, as they say.
But here, we’ll let the photographs speak for themselves…
