Forest Engagement Photography | Green Antlers Photography
This forest engagement was like a breath of fresh air for me. For some time now, Sam and I have been discussing about all this trends in photography, how everything seems so posed lately, even same emotions, eyes closed, looking away from each other, you get the idea. We are guilty of falling into this trends and many times we’ve been posing our couples like we saw others doing.
Cristoph and Steph told me from the very beginning they didn’t want any posed pictures. Many couples say this, but many would still need a sort of guidance and us posing them. This time, though, I promised myself I won’t do any of that. Only what they want and feel like doing. I was only there to take pictures, sort of like a ninja photographer- there but not quite there. Haha, sounds funny even reading this.
It was so awesome doing this engagement shoot in Wimbledon on a very early morning. The light was perfect, the couple were ready to have fun and all they did was to climb trees, benches and play cheesy games. And to be honest, these are some of my favourite engagement pictures, as they are most natural and definitely not posed at all.
Really looking forward to shooting their wedding soon. And by the way, Steph is a triplet and Sam actually shot one of her sister’s Guildford wedding last year, so I’m really looking forward to meeting their family soon!
