Many of us make New Years Resolutions but what about Christmas resolutions?
As I was washing dishes, I suddenly got all sorts of thoughts about the holidays fast approaching and realised I didn’t quite have a plan of where to go, what to do, what Christmas gifts to buy. I was so caught up in the busy life we have day to day, but I didn’t manage to plan so far ahead yet. And I was OK with that.
What is Christmas about after all? It’s so easy to just walk outside and know what Christmas is Not about. Definitely not about all the poor trees being cut or the fake Santa standing outside the fancy shopping centres or even all of the massive sales making people greedy into having more stuff they don’t actually need, but they work so hard to get.
On a Christmas day, Jesus Christ was born in this Earth so that you and me can have Hope and a Purpose for our lives. So that we learn what true Love and Sacrifice really means and that we are no longer to blame, because He already took it all upon Him. So we can be made perfect, through His perfect gift. This is what Christmas means and what it is for me personally.
This Christmas holidays:
I want to do less but be more;
I need to spend less and give more;
Judge less and love more;
Worry less and trust more;
Waste less time and spend more time with God;
Talk less but listen more;
Want less but be grateful for more;
Expect less but give unconditionally;
With this, Green Antlers Photography want to wish you beautiful, peaceful holidays with your loved ones!
