Alternative Wedding Photographers London
We’ve made it! Almost can’t quite believe it.
Although I probably haven’t slept a full night in a whole year, it’s been the best one yet! And the most challenging, to be completely honest.
After 20 something weddings, a baby with no instructions manual and a business we had to keep on growing, we’ve done a pretty good job at not panicking and getting (most) things done.
All weddings have been delivered to very happy couples, the baby is alive and very cheerful, I might add and there is nothing else we would rather do now, than being alternative wedding photographers! Yes, we do have big plans for the near future, but we also like to live in the now, so to many more weddings, please!
Two photographers and a newborn
This year, we became parents. Long before I gave birth to our amazing boy Abel Ezra, our journey has begun. As with many things in our life, it was not meant to be easy. Far from it. This year has been like a trial of fire, if you may.
The busiest wedding season to date, a baby who needed us 24/7 and a strong heart to face the challenges (and the sleepless nights, of course).
Why did we choose ‘Abel’ for our son?
Abel means ‘Breathe of God’.
And what God breathes on, becomes Life and it is absolutely perfect. In God’s eyes and ours.
But our journey is far from being finished…
Published Wedding Photographers
This year was incredible! We got to shoot destination weddings in France, a festival themed wedding in Holland and a few stunning weddings in Norway, of course. It was amazing to photograph inside the most beautiful barns in England, like this Sopley Mill wedding in Dorset and probably some of our favourite outdoor wedding ceremonies, like this forest wedding ceremony in Surrey.
Not to blow our own trumpet, but we were also very lucky to have been published quite a few times this year, by some of our favourite wedding blogs in England.
Earlier this year, we were published by Love My Dress after we shot this beautiful bohemian wedding in Norway. On a different occasion, Love My Dress wedding blog published Agnes + Sindre’s destination wedding in Stavanger . One of the first Northumberland elopements we’ve got the honour of photographing was also published on Love My Dress this year . Such an intimate wedding in the most stunning landscape, surrounded by blueberries and ferns. An absolute dream to witness and capture!
Lizzie and Rob’s Larmer Tree Gardens wedding was published on Rock My Wedding , to show that rain isn’t really that scary for your wedding day. This Stavanger Barn Wedding was published in the Spring by Rock My Wedding as well as this Chateau destination wedding in France which was published on Rock My Wedding blog.
We were also interviewed for an article by Flothemes, one of our absolute favourite website design companies! If you need a new website, they are your guys!
For all of the published weddings and those that are due to be published, we’re extremely grateful and truly honoured!
Here’s some of our favourite moments from this year, as well as a few behind the scenes, if you’re patient ’till the end.
Thank you everyone, for following along!
This is our 2017 year in review…
